how many tooth whitening kits can you use on your teeth before causing damage?

Question by Lee L: how many tooth whitening kits can you use on your teeth before causing damage? I have a few of these tooth whitening kits, but none have managed to get my teeth the way I want them. But I'm worried that I have damaged my teeth by using several kits (albeit, not at the same time).
